DYAN GALLEY

Dyan Galley, of Fort Saskatchewan, was a coach’s delight both offensively and defensively. During her sixteen year career, Galley won several All-Star and MVP awards at Western and Canadian Championships, and a Nationals bronze in 1979 and 1980 with the Edmonton Muttart Blues. She was a threat on the base paths, had great range in the outfield, and was an outstanding batter and bunter. After her retirement from play, she pursued a coaching career, and was one of the originators of minor ball in Fort Saskatchewan, coaching their Midget girl’s teams. Galley also established highly successful weekend clinics, promoting the sport and teaching girls the fundamentals of softball.

Inducted as an Athlete in 1991.
